Sunday Night
SUNDAY NIGHT Sunday night; all the kids clothes washed, ironed, hung up nice and neat Come Monday end of school and home, all chucked on the floor in a heap Tuesday, can I get away with another day, of not doing their school wash I kid you with muddy trousers and stains on blouses, what a load of tosh Wednesday, uniforms all hung up again and ironed sports gear as a treat Head held high, my kids have all got to school once again smelling sweet Thursday, it was total mayhem, as it had poured with rain, all flamin' day As for the kids, a total mess, from jumping into the puddles on their way Friday, clothes still a little bit on the steamy side, but last day, who cares Saturday, I check the kids rooms what a mess for one day it's their affair Sunday, I'm creeping around sleeping kids, picking up their dirty clothes Emptying out pockets for the wash, what is in there; only heaven knows I leave the contents, all in their respective piles, including Tommy's toad Hubs deals with making the breakfast, as I then deal with the wash load Indiana Shaw . . . : '
