Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I wrote a letter to myself today, asking for forgiveness, of suffering caused I had much to say, of anguish, tearfulness. years of stress I caused again and again, chasing my earthly dreams, of wealth, accolades needed to be vain, hoist of our social beams! forgive me, I said for what I have done, for robbing your freedom, for denying many moments of fun, to build my own kingdom. times of playground sports that were lost to work, of days in small closed rooms, harsh words in anger to self, how berserk! filling your days with gloom! I ask in all earnest to forgive please, for stealing you from yourself, your forgiveness will give me much release, so I can live with myself. thought for a while as I read the letter, it’s time to draw a line, everyone should have chance to be better, so does this self of mine! wrote a reply in a few simple words that’s all it often takes, I forgive you! and no spite I shall hoard, for our good old times sake. I awoke the next day like was reborn, fresh water in new lake, the feelings of guilt and hurt were all gone! difference, forgiving the self, can make!! Take a moment and forgive yourself, you are as worthy as anybody else, throw hurtful past from memory shelf, feel your life, it has healthy new pulse!
