The Poet Who Waits
THE POET WHO WAITS Here I was St. Peters gate, was wondering just how long I had to wait Not expecting any response, I had not written any great poetry of late St. Peter was a little more that perplexed upon reading my poetry text My spelling was more than atrocious; my grammar, somewhat suspect He, spent a lot of days on deliberation, didn't even think of me waiting Then St. Peter returned, said; you are in after a lot of careful debating Hell bells, not only did I enter in; was told I was about to get anointed With me at God's side, He said; Indy you tried, I was not disappointed Indiana Shaw . . . : ) "Now, I'm just taking the Mick" . . . ; ) "Really though, I was kept waiting forever behind a lot more finer poets, my poetry was in fact really bad, but, somehow with God, it just clicked" : )
