Reflections
He looked in the mirror and said I have seen that face before do we know each other Are you someone I once knew Mirror beamed knowingly then replied Spare me a few moments of your time and I will give you a clue. That is the image of the man, who as a teacher, inspired young minds so, they may grow to be learned and wise. That is the image of the man, who as a surgeon, his dedication and skill saved a lot of people’s lives. That is the image of the man, who as a labourer has sweated and toiled out in the burning heat or freezing cold he probably built the house you lived in or the road on which you have travelled. That is the image of the man, who had no job, but he still lived a life that’s valid and true. He looked in the mirror and asked Have I seen that face before Mirror beamed knowingly then replied He is the son every nation He is the son of race He is the son of every family He looked in the mirror and asked Do we know each other Mirror beamed knowingly then replied: He is the married man, the single one He may be father to many or to none He may be LGBQ, or he may not be none of it really matters, not one jot. He looked in the mirror and asked Are you someone I once knew? Mirror beamed knowingly then replied: Of course, you know him you have seen his face before you know each other very well he is someone you once knew because, that man is you.
