Winter Love
WINTER LOVE Once I had a winter love, I met on the third day of December Solstice of nineteen seventy seven. The flicker turned into a flame and with both of our hearts on fire, we moved in together. Living together before the winter season ended and were together for seventeen winter seasons, celebrating Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day and sometimes the start of the Easter week. But the flame of our love still burning was not good enough to hold us together, even until the next winter. Went our separate ways and all that was left were sweet memories, bitter memories to remember. Now in the winter season of my life, love found me two years ago during the winter season and after so many years, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Can it be another winter love? 2/18/22 Winter Love Poetry JCB Brul
