Soothing Serenity
The morning sky glows in rays of nature's lamp The sun-lit earth gives a cheery smile in its charm A baby calf drinking milk from mama's udder; Tiny yellow common grass butterflies fluttering around in open green grasslands; Paddy plants sparkling pearls of dew drops at sunrise; The three-striped bushy tailed little palm squirrels scurrying around the trees in search of nuts; Small pale-billed flower pecker birds on tree twigs swaying gently to the rhythm of soft morning breeze. As I see the vibrance of nature, yet feel its lull during my morning walk amidst nature through the idyllic countryside, my wearied mind is refreshed and nurtured - the soothing tunes of serenity serenading my soul in a moment of love and peace Date: 10/20/2021 Let's Mix It Up Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France
