My Poisonous Sun
You Standing before me A heaven-sent vision Beguiling and benevolent Beautiful in the sight of my adoring eyes In the midst of a crowded room All I see is you You become the Sun I the humble Earth Revolving around you in wistful orbit Always at arm’s length Always only a glance away Faithful and doggedly devoted The beating of my heart - A melody composed especially for you The pulsing of my intoxicated blood – A river of passion flowing at your behest The screaming of every nerve and fiber – A concert of desire staged in celebration… Of your limitless Adonis beauty It is absolutely true you see When I say that everything I do… Is done solely for you My life is lived to praise your birth You are the breath that gives my lungs cause to breathe You are the sunlight caressing my skin In the wake of a long dark winter You are the sweetest poison my lips have ever tasted… And if all I could do was to die Expiring in humble devotion to you I would die a million times Just for the honor of knowing That I had done it in your name
