What Do You See
I was inspired to write this poem from listening to my niece’s (Joleen Cogburn) Daily Bread Devotionals these last few days. Now I wonder - What do you see??? What Do You See While sitting there quietly Before us we take in a view All things are seen differently Between us all as well as you For some the sight is scary With the evil glaring through While others visualize beauty Filled with joyful happiness too A few will have the weeds they see With dead plants and even bugs too Others look at flowers and every tree While admiring where each one grew From one’s mind comes the visibility Developed within the heart of you Let our walk guide us with integrity As the Lord will test our minds too We have free will to choose actually As we learn the right and wrong to do So you are sure to get what you see Just like we reap what we sow is true The wickedness really tries to get me The righteous path is hard to get thru I will always seek for the good diligently Keeping Jesus close by my side as I do Visions may be distorted and blurry When we carry many burdens too We should be accepting it all gladly Even if the load gets heavy for you Blessings come through adversity On that difficult path to pursue So looking out WHAT DO YOU SEE Is that the right vision for you Florence McMillian (Flo)
