Call Her Dove: For Purity
I call her dove for purity, she thinks it’s cute she likes the thought that she could be… purity, by love, and sought… through corridors, halls, pushing doors in captured time rousing slumber’s impatient mind she thinks it’s cute I think she climbs moving walls undefined I call her dove for purity she wonders why but likes the thought impunity by love the questions brought threw corridors, halls, and tears of waterfalls locked in time frozen fears thaw… prehistoric crime purity, by love she takes it slight I call her dove an angel's light but too close above her strings of youth forgot not for the weak the root we’ve wrought -- I call her dove for purity for when I look it’s what I find I like the thought, she, pure, defined, not in her eyes but in mine
