All About Green
ALL ABOUT GREEN Green’s my favorite color, there are several reasons why: It’s the color of my money that I spend for things I buy. It’s the color of the springtime when the trees get dressed again, And the promise of the summer to replace the winter’s din. It’s a color of the rainbow with God’s promise that we know: No more flood like that of Noah in that day so long ago. It’s the color of the pastures that the Lord doth lead me by. And I lie there in contentment for the Shepherd dwelleth nigh. It’s the color of the growing I should do in grace each day, For Christ took my life so sinful and He washed it all away. It’s the color of the emerald in the city up on high, And someday we will dwell there in the precious by and by. Yes, these are some examples of the green things that I know, And each day whene’er I wear it, those meanings to me show. It may not be your favorite color, but I still hope you have seen Why it is MY favorite color—this lovely color green!
