A Sad Man and His Dog
I see him every day with his companion by his side Even if he’d rather stay in the house to hide With his head pointing down toward the ground And a saddened frown Holding the attached leash his connection to his friend And the endless hours together that they spend Your dog always listens no matter what is said He’ll sleep beside you affectionately inside your bed Dogs don’t care if you forgot your deodorant and might smell Or the changeable moods you may expel He’ll gladly stand by your side so proud And yiper ever so long so loud Dogs never make you feel bad for a mistake They’ll kiss you every morning till you wake So who can blame him if he doesn’t care to smile Because when he’s walking his dog inside his heart life becomes worthwhile
