Whom laid in a manger beneath the smiling stars As the Angels rejoiced from near and afar While as the sheperds they came And the wise men brought gifts Of gold and myrrh, and frankincence But the babies eyes, they just gazed into the night As His mother Mary, she pondered such light.... For how could this be that a virgin bore child Which Gabriel the mighty, had promised with a smile The savior of the world, amid the fruit of her womb To bring salvation to all, before entering His tomb.... For the baby He knew, his forth coming plight His purpose, the promise, from His Father on high! And 'tis the season that we soon celebrate this day As our hearts look toward the heaven Our souls, knowing the way....
