Twenty-twenty one will be a year full of glad. I am determined to eliminate all signs of mad or sad. I will hold up my imaginary stop sign if gloomy thoughts arrive. Deciding rather to conjure up joyful memories in fours and five. Twenty-twenty one is going to be a fresh start, every day. If we get to take off masks, I will hug, kiss, and appreciate good play. My friends and family will come back, and everyone will smile Forgetting separation of last year that kept us waving cross a mile. Twenty-twenty one will be a year to go out to eat with my friends. Our laughter traveling across a restaurant, love that never ends. I'll recall the good times of other years when fear was not around. I'll appreciate simple pleasures like air, water, peace, and clean ground. Twenty-twenty one will be a year to do all the things I never did. A year to kick up my heels, and travel from Egypt to Madrid. A year to meet new people, exchange phone numbers and pray. A year that effectively has taken the Covid-19 truly well away. Twenty-twenty one will be a year to do the things I want to do. To dance my happy dance, and write poems in bunches of twenty-two. To draw cartoons, and paint canvases in oranges, yellows and lime. Twenty-twenty will truly be the best year yet, wonderful this time!
