From a Death Bed
Covered all over, just a plain white sheet Hearing silent whispers, and a faint heartbeat Nearer to the end, earlier than expected Gazing at on looking faces, and the lives that were affected Through the window, out on the street Ha! Another road jam, and many hustling feet Out there, no one's missing a feat Yet over here, a future is bleak The walls fall apart, now there's empty space They rejoin, make up a new place A beam of light, cuts through all the black Playing images in the mind, memories and flashbacks Smash the projector, never lived in ease Depart with the soul peacefully, at least Running low on air, make best use of it Say the words, make them smile, just a bit All is forgotten, all is forgiven The harshness in the open, and all that was hidden Throat is dry, getting still Won't say "Don't forget", because they will This is the coldest December yet Black Clad approaching Break into a sweat A few last words Wanted to slip away Just wanted... To say... Loved You... All...
