The Pharaoh's Bed
In the night, where the goddess Nut has come out, watching over her children as they sleep. I was given a duty, as a servent, to give something to the king. For a man ruling over land, He was not married or taken, since no one seems to catch his eye. No one but me. I was given strict orders to go straight into the pharaoh's chambers after his evening meal. As he was in the bathing room, I was instructed to wait for him. The palace staff seems to know something of the pharaoh's desires and not me. For I was lost in the dark. Soon he appeared in his room, dressed in fresh linens. Coming closer to me as I sit upon his bed. Not a word was spoken, only watchful eyes on one another. He caressed my cheek and slowly removed my plain white gown. With the candles burning its golden glow in the room. My king seems to be taken by me. He lays me down upon his cotton bed. He feels on me, brings me high. A kiss on my lips and a stroke on my belly. Into the night, we gave in to each other. Calling out the gods from our mouths. The love he has for me is stronger than the Nile's waves. Deeper than anything I've felt before. Here in the pharaoh's bed, I gave him something that has never been touched, All of me.
