Sammee
Shes’s Breathless. The light is dark, and the Air cries a wrenching scream Tossing and turning in her Coffin She Sleeps and She dreams Sitting High on a Oak Tree, He watches Sammee Lose herself, in the midst of a still moment Where Judas spat on her soul and she let the stain Live Let it grow and spread along her white skirt, it drips On to the carpet and on to the walls It Lives among the family, a walking corpse It lies in bed with her, sings to her And He watches as she gets weaker Waiting for Sammee to breakaway from her He calls Sammee, but she is surrounded by soulless shrieks she doesn’t listen The windows are shut tight, decaying fumes trap her mind, blurring her vision She’s Breathless as she sits behind them, Blindly reaching out, her fingers are short of his shoulder And before she can say His Name, it devours her senses She smiles wickedly, vengeance like she’s wearing lenses It controls her because Terror engorges her mind That she cannot live without her. That if she leaves, she cannot hide, the Yellow Light might burn her He asks Sammee for Forgiveness, Thy Almighty She cries for Mercy, heinous lamentation, She asks to end this confederation She moans in her dream, and wakens Basked in maternal adoration, She begins the demon’s cremation. She takes another look at Love It smiles. With hands shaking, she steps out of her coffin and signs the divorce papers Freeing herself to be Samme Subra once more.
