To See the Sunset Blindfolded
It's a rare thing in life, To come across someone, That truly completes you. You look into their eyes, And you see them- In awe of the beauty, They were meant to be seen for. Like searching the depths of a deep dark cave, But even without the light, You already know every crevis. Caressing all the smoothe places in admiration, But really appreciating the rock and rough spots. Love can be blind, If being blind meant truly seeing, For even the blind see with other senses, Though enhanced, The senses make up for the loss of sight. How do the blind see beauty? When they don't possess functioning eyesight? And why does a blind man smile, When he can't see the sunrise for himself? The warmth of love is blind they say, But do we really know what we're looking at? When it comes to love, vision is meaningless. Compared to the love that goes beyond the eye, Forever holding us for eternity. To Josh-For helping me to see the Sunrise-Blindfolded
