Dirty Rose
Rose loves to spend her day Asking all her friends to play; She never found a little time To brush her teeth, wash her face or comb her hair. Soon all her friends could not be seen. One night, she woke up in her bed, A pain was throbbing in her head. ‘Oh, mum, please, are you awake? I’ve got a really bad toothache!’ Mother saw Rose’s head, ‘You need dentist now,’ she said, ‘We must get help without delay, His clinic’s one street away.’ ‘Oh, dentist, I’ve an awful pain, It comes and goes, and comes again. I cannot sleep, I cannot play; Please, dentist, make it go away.’ One hour passed, the dentist stopped, Out of his chair Rose hopped. ‘Rose, you’re a disgrace; Please, brush your teeth, wash your face, and comb your hair; And please, don’t forget to pick The food off with your chewing stick!’
