Precious
Precious is the moment the first snowflake hits the ground The eyes of a child illuminate while taking in the view of snow Seeing them run to the depths of white, only to sink and laugh Precious is the joy of having helped another keep warm that winter By placing your very coat upon the ones who need it even more And seeing them smile back to you as you play with your children Precious is the excitement of a puppy as it plays in the snow Almost laughing we, chasing the flakes, having snow on its nose Watching it jump from snow mound to snow mound, just seeking Precious is taking some scraps to the dog that cries in the cold That later becomes warmed by the love bestowed by your offering Becoming a playful animal that in return only wishes you love Precious…is love and caring
