Falling
In praise, I welcome the days when I stumble and fall, the days of love and loss, as well as the mornings I rise to fly again. For If I did not fall, I would never welcome the dawn or answer God’s call. As my chest rises and falls with every breath, I welcome the coming and going of days – the hope of each painted sunrise and the wishful wink of moonglow at nightfall, the gentle days of falling sunlight or stormy days of falling rain. Beyond my sight, an all-encompassing sky embodies earth and her intricacies abound. Her distinctive beauty reflected all around in splashing colors. Their endless brilliance, an illumination, falling from above and below, as I breathe every brush of air into my soul. Every creation within my sight, beneath this never-ending sky, falls on my tongue in pictorial praise, falls on my tongue in words of love. I welcome every rise and fall, every awakening of nature on life’s journey. I welcome, when the day is done, my imperfections and frailties, the beauty of humanity, the falling of you and I as one.
