That Person In the Head
There they were Married It was love at first sight For a week or so They were happy Then things began to get complicated They still loved each other When he would come home He would present her a red flower And she would wait on the doorstep daily To welcome him with a smile But something was wrong That warmth was missing They were looking for someone else in each other The person that they have created in their minds None of them were as perfect as their creation of thoughts And how could someone be… real and perfect That was it They smiled at each other But that was superficial They loved each other But not more than the person in the heads Both were trying hard to make each other happy He would try his best to make her feel secure And she would try her best to make him feel complete They would argue frequently But then went silent with time And thus life went on They grew old Having hand in hand they would walk In the park every evening They would water the flowers together Would play chess when they would suffer insomnia And would wake each other up She would make tea And he would take her out to see the first rays of rising sun Complete... What else one want... I wonder if the person who once lived in the mind Is still alive... Or have they both banished the imaginary beings... (~Paghunda Zahid April 11th,2020)
