Race
You call me black, brown or white I don’t care, I will fight I will fight for my right Be I black, brown or white! I will fight for the right to live To live, to love, to share to give To live in peace upon this earth For that’s my right by my birth! You call me black, brown or white I don’t care, I will fight I will fight for my right Be I black, brown or white! I was born free, no shackles no chains Upon my heart no racist stains I was born free, to live and breathe Nature to feed my every need You call me black, brown or white I don’t care, I will fight I will fight for my right Be I black, brown or white! The blood we bleed, the colour is red Their colour is clear, the tears we shed The sweat we wipe from off our brow Shines the same, no matter where we go You call me black, brown or white I don’t care, I will fight I will fight for my right Be I black, brown or white Beneath our skin, there is muscle and bone Tissue and flesh beneath the gleaming tone Of skin that might be black brown or white Of humans that have the will to fight. So, let’s look beyond race, the colour of skin Let us look inside, at what’s within Let us together our problem face As one big body –the human race So, it matters not, be it black brown or white We don’t care, we will fight We will fight for our place As honest members of the human race!
