The End
His world had broken, all that he knew, His life had been turned upside down, And instead of standing and starting again, He found himself bound to the ground, And each morning became day became night all again, Sleep wasn’t his anymore, In fact if “awake” was ever a prize, He knew he would receive that award, Numb with no life, his lights then dimmed, His care and desire both walked, All he could feel was the flat little line, A flat little line that meant naught, You see, he was beaten and bashed by his thoughts alone, His thoughts had conquered his head, And the last thing he felt was that unbroken line, When he closed both his eyes to be dead. Hi Matt, this is an older write of mine never entered into any contest, i think it might fit this contest however. Hope you enjoy this one :)
