A Pen and Paper
All I've ever had is a pen and a paper take my skin off and you'll see right beneath the follicles are words, words are all I've ever know. I don't trust many people in life but my heart beats harder just discribing what real emotion feels like. All day every day I feel like running away but no matter how far I run similes and sonnets seem to follow me. Poetry isn't going anywhere it's like cancer in the brain and if I try to dissect a piece out it will only make me insane. I fell in love the day I realized poetry made me brave. How eloquently I could discribe my deepest pains. It makes the pouring rain simmer into a light drizzle and when I was sad it would make the shame fizzle. I just wouldn't be the same without it. It's like my oxygen, it has the same affect as a cigarette without the toxins. It's a constant reminder as my heart beats this is what I live for, this is me.
