Contest Redressed
I've entered maybe the last time. They just take the fun out of rhyme. I guess they're not for everyone. If I just write I have more fun. I've never been competitive. I find more joy if I just live. Some contests just get weighted down. With details that just make me frown. I could go into this and that. About details that leave me flat. But like I said, I've had enough. So there's no need for more gruff stuff. I do appreciate a theme. That can guide me to some sweet dream. Of written sentimental thought. Which without might not be caught. But once again I must digress. There's no need to further address. Like I've already said above. When I just write, that's what I love. Note: I'm not poo pooing contests all together. It's just that I've had too many bad, sad, mad experiences with them that like many things in life. Sometimes, you just have to change direction and let somethings go. I feel much less angst when I don't put myself through that anxiety and aggravation that I have experienced with contests in the past. Carry on all of you who I know who thrive on contests. I love reading your entries sometimes. I say sometimes, because I'm just not that active on poetry soup as I once was. Peace, Love. And Good luck. :)
