There’s a constant battle of remembering and living- Living in the past, present, and future Neglecting anything that doesn’t serve your life because we aren’t promised another day We aren’t even promised a year Let alone a decade, And as we swallow the doubt that love will ever consume you again- A hug you look for in every person- We must look within for guidance Look inside to see the light- There will never be light outside- In the cold dark unforgiving world, Now in survival mode, we must have faith- Believe in the invisible linings
