A Poem In a Letter
by Dawne Zacharias The approach of rain the smell of moisture in the air. It is a remarkable change with an impending surprise. The smell of ozone begins to drift in, the dark cumulous cloud slowly drops its fullness, and I stand outside when the wind begins to blow, and feel the humidity upon my face, in the last of sunlight's glow. Soon we are engulfed in darkness, the chill on my arms raise to goosebumps and aliven my soul. Nature smiles a renewal. Then by chance, a prisms glow, when the clouds move on for the perfect rainbow, it is another eternal gift for our sense of sight. All are made by God to joy and delight. Windows are opened and together we sit, to joy in the rainfalls sweet sense of bliss. A grilled cheese sandwich a cup of hot tea as we watch droplets fall swirling into the sea.
