Fortunate Light
The beginning of a dream Burning every lie The dancing shadow isn’t pleased It needs to crawl back into my mind Fortunate I can see When vision betrays my need So fortunate I can be When existence succumbs to greed Nothing ever forgetting love The pain that gives me sight Because everything given up Brings me closer to inner light Fortunate I declare This awareness will break me down A fortune I can’t compare Because everything kills me now Pleading for anyone I pray for illusion’s arms With a knowledge I know is wrong And contradictions that do me harm The shadow coming home Now I recall this fading dream A single flame now stands alone So I wake up and burn the seeds Fortunate in the light When actions remember why My fortune will give me sight The shadow no longer hides
