The Cycles and Seasons of Life
THE CYCLES AND SEASONS OF LIFE By David G. Moore February 23, 2019 The Creator’s marvelous works, Sure evidence that God exists, Given abundantly to reveal, His glory as nature gives witness. View the Creator’s marvelous work, Sing hymns of awe and praise. To the order that guides each day, As if on scroll from sky to sky. Our journeys of agony and ecstasy, Stories about the gift of being, Can be someone else’s hope, Of good and new beginnings. Look upon grass, the earth’s mantle, Its purpose ordained by God’s hand, Offers a glimpse of divine mystery, Bows to the will of God. In Winter, grass seeks a break from its calling, It rests. Whether groomed lawn or protector from sod erosion, Hiatus. In Spring, grass awakens and begins its growth, It flourishes. Grass does its task in rain, drought, or sunshine’s bask, Bravado. In Summer, grass displays its created glory and splendor, It triumphs. Various shades of green give freshness to life’s routine, Grandeur. In Fall, grass begins to hibernate and lie dormant, It slumbers. And the soil gives it security and comfort, Tranquility. The cycles of life are to held as blessings, Full of divine ordinances and grace, Prove that at the end of all ends, There are good and new beginnings.
