Once I Was
Once I was your wife.... Thought we would be together For life.... Our titles have now Been misconstrued Because my life you misused How does it feel calling me your “ex”? On this you wouldn’t place a bet And now you have subterranean regret How can we now relate Without operating in hatred Once you were my husband.... I didn’t look at you same Because you gave me your name When your love was superior Little did I know It was based on materials That I proved for you The fact is Your love was never true Once we were a married couple The tenure was short lived You were never willing to give 100% percent Now I resent That you ever married me Now I will never be free Of all the memories Of a colorful imagination In factuality Our marriage was never A legitimate reality....
