The Gift of Gait
I left the doctors office in a daze. His words would not compute. Cancer soon to ravish me- Diagnosis Absolute. Utterly beside myself, My mind so ill at ease, I looked out my bedroom window, and gazed upon the trees- The beauty of their natural gait made me drop down on my knees. I sat before Him humble. Not a sentence dare I speak. I had to slow my mind down and try my hardest not to weep. I sat there with my eyes shut, through the darkness did I gaze, suddenly a pebbled path, I approached a big blue gate. I pushed it open and stepped inside, my senses keen, just mesmerized! A Throne before me came to life- It emphasized, and empathized. In stillness faintly I felt a voice, Not audible, ; Within- “Dear Child you never walk alone.. Your soul will not grow dim. Your purpose unfulfilled you see You’ve words to write, for them to read- Concepts the masses yet conceive. The pen from you- the Word from Me. So fret not with your news received, for I've made a decision. Until My Will has come to pass Your cancers in remission.” Just then the wind it sucked me back, through the gate I hurled, my mind intact. My eyes they opened, I was in my room Quite overwhelmed- my mind consumed- With an understanding Id never known. With eyes wide open, my mind was blown...as I stood, my legs could barely stand. I looked down, The Pen was in my hand
