Bad Stars
Poets speak of them as folly, of love itself, they say, “Stars are the windows of Heaven” in their ignorance they cannot see that stars are the fireflies of Hell. Stars shine from distant dark with the illusion of emotion, yet are indifferent to pity. Like pieces of shook foil confetti cast over head, in the nuptials of devils. Evil stars are eyes that probe through skin. They blink in that all-knowing way you can feel them like Dante’s inferno, burning into your psyche from above. . Stars see all, even in the dimness. They cast illumination where it should be forbidden. Flinging light through the hearts of men, measuring mans weakness, their hidden sins. They are determent to spy on the spirit; on the fortitude of the essence of existence. They are evil, and eager to scout out souls for their demon master, his all-knowing eyes.
