Saying Goodbye
I find out you've been untrue, Found someone new. You've left me standing alone, Wishing to hear the telephone, Just hoping you'd call To explain it all. But no words did you say, You just left me one day, As if I didn't even exist, To you i won't be missed. I'm just a memory to you now, You've forgotten me somehow. I wish that I could do the same, Wanting to forget your name. But I miss you, I miss your touch, I loved you so very much. But you destroyed my heart, Leaving it in pieces tore all apart. I guess I was too bling to see That you never really loved me. Almost three years down the drain, Wondering how to get rid of this pain. Will it ever go away, Or get worse each day? Just when I think I can no longer cry, Another tear excapes from my eyes. I must no longer hang on When you are staying gone. Saying "Good-Bye" is never easy, But then again you made me. (6/25/93)
