Seashore Thoughts
She walks along the shoreline at dusk Alone, save for the sea and the seagulls Wrapped in thought, serious thought How could things have gone so wrong, So quickly? Where's the man of her dreams,? He should be walking next to her, Holding hands.... Silent communications of Love It appears the mighty ocean Swallows the blazing reddish sun Giving way to the hordes of stars And the mystical moon They had vacationed here before Their favorite spot Those golden days Weighing heavy on her heart Oh, to just have an hour with him She needs him to comfort her Fear replaced security when he left Alone after all those years Oh my God, how many tears? Unsure of each step Only sure of her fears Wide ocean, deep, mighty Even that will someday succumb To evaporation... God's ways unfathomable She takes another step Leaving a footprint Pointing at her unknown future.
