Hindsight's Retro
With clarity only found when looking back All the many things that should have been seen then, Slowly, but surely, are being seen now Comfortable darkness was unknowingly pierced by the brightness of unexpected light Realizations are breathtaking Wave after wave they flow In unsuccessful attempts at calming the ceaseless tides of still waters Once even and pure Then, like clouds of a foreboding storm Damp feelings of hurt, embarrassment, and stupidity Clash with the whirling winds of lies, deceit, and broken trust Shelter is needed from the shards and fragments that lay in the storms’ wake But once the storm blows over, The damage of what is and what isn’t remains~ Now, danger and threat have passed, And with precision only found in retrospect, Cleaning up begins
