The Healer Needs Healing
The Healer Needs Healing Glistening sultry eyes under half closed lids Smooth flushed skin and tanned good looks A sexy half open mouth as you swallow Trying hard to hide your sensitive inner soul. Then the shutter comes down the window is closed I long to see that side of you again To reach out and touch your face To wipe that hurt away To watch a smile reach those cloudy eyes To hold you close and give you warmth To chase the cold away. To watch that hard shell melt away Those eyes that glisten will glisten with joy I really long to see that happiness bubble through Its natural, its you The beauty God gave you Let it shine through Its in the sound of your voice, A sound that warms me and reaches my heart. The look in your eyes that touches without touching A gift of love in a glance. It scares me. I so want to believe there is something there But just back away in despair. What if my instincts are wrong And there is nothing Rather be safe than get hurt Pain like an arrow through the heart.
