It's every breath I breathe with a bleeding heart, And nerves stretched thin and threaded with a comb. It's wanting every sunset shared, And feeding my soul with your laughter and smiles. It's falling hard while being scared, That I’ll be walking alone through dark, lonely aisles. It's the way my fingers fit through yours, It's the talks we had out by the pool. It’s when your love sunk through my pores, And being taken for a fool. It's the forehead kisses and burying my head into your neck, It's the way we grew up side by side. It's the forgiveness that followed the biggest wrecks, And how much more love that we still hide. Undeterred, your heart yearns for something more, I've given my all and it couldn't be enough. Despite the blood shed on the floor, And sticking around after tides got rough. Certainly your feelings I cannot relate to, Life just seems too short for that..
