Left Behind
The front door slams, As I look up to say goodbye, Run over to the window, To see a trail of dirt in the sky, Tears form in my eyes, As I make my hand into a fist, And squeeze it so tight, My eyes begin to mist, My fist gets tighter, As I try not to cry, But this pain is to much, I just want to die, My eyes become so blurry, I slowly start breaking down, My knees finally give out, And I fall straight to the ground, I try to get to my feet, But my body stuck on the floor, Lord You know I can't do this, You know I can't take much more, Every time I watch the one I love, Give up on me so darn easy, Make me start to question myself, Am I really just that sleazy, I think I've lost my strength, My fist won't get any tighter, God don't let anyone else leave, Please just make my future brighter!!
