Soulmate
I don’t know why I’m here… Writing about you. All I know is how I feel.. And all I do is think and think and think... About you… everyday and every night… About you constantly...   I was fine before we met… But I must admit… I’m a better woman now, And I know more now than I did before… And I want more now than I did before.. And I hurt more now than I did before… But even so- I’m a better woman now… Then I was before…   I’ll never regret the love we shared. But now I’m left with emptiness For now I want that love back- Now that I know it does exist. I want that love in full- to be mine forever more. To be completely mine…   I know your heart was taken Way before we met. I didn’t mean to interfere With your vow of fidelity. But you were the one who found me. You were the one who pulled me in. You were the one who loved me, And now you’re the one to leave me. And all I can do is give you space… To figure out where you belong. All I can do is wait- for a glimpse of What we once had- that temporary moment of perfectness… So now I’ll give you back to her… Hoping you’ll be back.  And I’ll try not to wait- Though it’s so hard not to do.  For I’ve been searching for you for so long- And now I know you do exist. At least I know where you are… You know- I’m a lot smarter than I used to be. Or maybe I’m just temporarily blinded… But even so- I’m a better woman now… Then I was before… Now that I know “we” once existed…   By Elena Moscatt
