Stranger That I Know
Once again I'm staring into the eyes of a stranger. Who she is, I'm unsure, but I have this feeling that I know her. I've spent yet another day stuck in someone else's life, And now I'm hoping and praying that they just might Come back and reclaim this path that I don't know. My feet have never touched this earth. I've never seen these waters flow. As I find the strength to take a long look around, I realize just how lost I am and begin to pray that I will be found. I'm exhausted and I need my own bed to sleep in. I try to find the strength to fight this situation, but inside I'm already defeated. Where should I turn to get out of this maze? Have I served my time here? Do I have any more days? This world is so unfair and I just want to go home. I miss my mother's warm smile reassuring me that I'm not alone, But I'm here and I'm not sure which way to go. I'm staring into the eyes of a stranger that I feel I should know.
