Forgive Me
I squeeze the sky out but not one star appears, as I work through the metaphors of my fears. My grammar never seemed to be enough, living a cosmic life so unbalanced and tough, so I rewrite my anecdotes to replace my tears. Each connotation accepts nothing but resistance, each creation has been abused by its existence. Scribbling on parchment with a broken quill, I’ve lost all my pride and given in to free will. I need not days of apathy, but persistence. Forgive me; with your tender heart I’ve been lazy, I’ve been raptured, but you always did amaze me. Screaming to those stars that never did find devotion, my beautiful scars have gathered all their emotion. Now I am embraced by the stoic and crazy. Forgive me for surfacing the part of you that died, I held your hand and descended as you cried. I am lost in a circled room under the moon’s softness, feeding off the intermission of being a witness. I've lost love; now I'm just anguish personified.
