Ch’i- Yen-Shih
A Chinese form of poetry with four lines of seven ( 7 ) syllables each. Only lines 2 and 4 rhyme. Please note: each line has a break after the 4th syllable for musicality’s sake. Only words with one syllable must be used.
trees tend to blush - once they're kissed
by Jack frost's lips - cold as ice
late in the night - red dyes bleed
and blood stained leaves - pay the price
bare trees stand nude - in the woods
stripped of their leaves - by a breeze
as the wind whips - through a veil
of dried out twigs - with such ease
(Double Ch’i- Yen-Shih)
