Marooned By Elton Camp Meg & Mae’s ship went down Only those two didn’t drown They made it to a desert isle No inhabitants--what a trial It was alone they had to live Not a man, their love to give For years the two lived there Though seaward they did stare A ship on the horizon appeared Meg and Mae both wildly cheered Joy to sorrow too quickly turned When the vessel suddenly burned Before, to the depths, it went down A young man, a life preserver found He came floating toward their shore The girls began to cheer as before Just as they were getting ready to flirt They noticed the words on his shirt This, on his pink shirt, is what they spied In large letters was emblazoned, Gay Pride
