Poem
The beach was warm the air was warm and funny I spied the boy almost immediately The day started out happy, gaily, sunny But how would I meet him expediently? Shook out my beach towel with the bright pink bunny Begged sister to stop looking repeatedly. Had forgotten for a minute this is Spain Handsome lad came by at the first drop of rain Is this seat taken? He asked, sitting down hard. My titter laugh carried clearly and loudly. He was a witty clever poetry bard. Smug in a cute way, not totally proudly. I offered him a brownie made from fresh lard. Took a bite and said with a flirtatious wink Into your hazel eyes I quickly could sink. Malvarrosa Beach was never so pretty The boy’s magical ways spoke close to my heart I too became very clever and witty Mesmerized by deep brown eyes, love at her start Just a memory but please do not pity, For thanks to Camarlench’s powerful ink, My muse has been playing and stays in the pink.
