Poem
Gone has God, the mirth as well, love’s sweet liquors never tell; sun kissed earth, the hope for all, the raven’s sigh at coming squall Take the heart so pounded thus, darkened ardor, sour dough’s musk; give the hearth the light of dawn, springs the trap on spritely fawn Now the world lies deep in tryst, silk-tongued robbers slight of wrist; a nod to all who know this tale, perchance the shattered dream to fail.
