Poem Title:
Poem
If I should write a thousand poems In perfect iambic pentameter, or free verse, With images so vivid they create a scene Will one of them be read in a classroom text Or, find a place in a well-known magazine One hundred years from today? Shall my gems be greeted with ho-hums, Laughter, derision, be mimicked, or worse, Be read by a friend, a critic, or never seen. The thought leaves me somewhat perplexed Shall I arrive at the inaugural in a limousine? Just let me write a poem that will be okay!
