Misty Blues

Oh, trees of once so forest green now shrouded to me in pale hues as my hearts reflection of blues mirrors a lifeless figurine Pray hide from me sunbursts of glow for the sky is of mist alone and where I roam as cold as stone all thoughts run deep and overflow Shadowy shaped vapours haunt me with your gaze of cerulean blue and if to feel your touch I drew my hand that longed the touch of thee All worn paths I fear now to tread for there are haunting scents of you that so relentlessly pursue a heart that’s already long dead All alone as teardrops of blue and misty, hazy dreams of you float away once more out of view forsaking what my heart once knew

Dear Christina, I apologize for not previously acknowledging your beautifully crafted poem that delves into themes of loss, longing, and sadness. Your poignant exploration of heartbreak and solitude, as well as the lingering memories of a past relationship, is both moving and captivating. The emotive language you employ effectively conveys a sense of melancholy and yearning. The imagery you use, including words like "shrouded," "reflection of blues," "shadowy shaped vapors," and "teardrops of blue," evokes feelings of sorrow and longing. Your incorporation of color imagery, such as "pale hues" and "cerulean blue," enhances the emotional depth of the poem.

I am not giving you my favourite line, because all the lines penned are genuine evoking the poor reality we have about our nature, which is the most important thing we will always have. A perfectly executed Enclosed Rhyme. Your poem epitomises the maxim: Poetry should be felt, rather than understood. FAVing it, Christina.

Your poem beautifully conveys a deep sense of loss and melancholy, using nature and evocative imagery to reflect the speaker's emotional state... It masterfully uses natural imagery and a melancholic tone to explore themes of loss, memory, and the haunting persistence of grief. Its emotional depth and lyrical quality create a powerful and moving reading experience.

Oh gosh Christina, so terribly sad and bleak, but in a beautifully written way. This is classic poetry, an art form that is being left behind in favor of one liner quips that pass for neo-poetry and for which the Insta crowd with it's short little attention span craves. A fave for Tom Woody

This poem is haunting sad it seems to be about someone no longer with us with which can relate to I lost my love in 2005 and still mourn him extra hugs Shadow

Your poem, Christina, quickly seizes attention and plays so sorrowfully in the heart and head...conveys such depth of feeling. There is that conflict between being moved by sadness and the enjoyment in reading outstanding verse...each adds to the experience of why poetry matters and why this poem is a splended example.

Dear chriszy, this is such a profound and poignant quatrain flowing so seamlessly with such deep and raw emotions that would touch any readers heart and soul. The way you’ve phrased your lines and delivered grief and pain is beyond impeccable! Your poem touched me deeply, Christina. I felt deep sadness and grief as I read your words. How powerfully poignant this line was: All worn paths I fear now to tread for there are haunting scents of you. I can't imagine losing my hubby, the love of my life. We share so much...life without him would be empty. Am faving this heartfelt poem. have a great evening, hugs, Sara

What would it be like to never again have somebody you love near you, what pain could I only imagine. This piece, Christina is so beautifully written, I love the way the lines continue flawlessly. And how descriptive, "his gaze of cerulean blue and if to feel your touch I drew" it touches the reader deeply. Melancholy perhaps, but never dull. Congrats on your first video! A pleasure reading your work! Peaceful days to come ~Anaya
