Victory Evermore

Victory Evermore You feel you’re at the end of your rope. You’re walking on the ocean floor. Your eyes burn for the tears that fail to flow and there's no sound from your cries anymore. You feel you have nothing else to lose, and what's left from all you've lost is meager. Those who love you, do sorrowfully sigh, but those who despise you are eager. Your strength fails now, you feel all hope is lost, and you await your fatal blow. Every weapon and skill you’ve learned of your enemy, his tactics you've come to know. But there's now not a question, or answer, or figuring out, there's not a scheme or plan. You feel you are broken into a million pieces, now a broken and defeated man. Lo suddenly at what would be your last breath, you whisper, "Jesus" in your final sigh, You raise your head to the heavens instead, with hope that your redemption draweth nigh. But what is this sound? The feet of a mighty army, in the gallop of One heard in ear, It is the Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords is here! Like a lion in a beautiful leaping stride, He is there just in time, He rips the enemy into shreds, bringing peace to your troubled mind. From the dust of the ground He now raises you up, from the end of your rope, your ocean floor, Higher than the trees, the mountains, you're safely raised, above the clouds in the sky you soar! As your enemies flee from thee in seven directions, receiving all that God had in store, At His right hand you now reign with Him, victory evermore.
