The Poet Who Waits
Listen to poem:
THE POET WHO WAITS
Here I was St. Peters gate I was wondering just how long I had to wait
Not expecting any response, I had not written any great poetry of late
St. Peter was a little more that perplexed upon reading my poetry text
My spelling was more than atrocious; my grammar somewhat suspect
He spent a lot of time on deliberation, didn't even think of me waiting
Then St. Peter returned; said you are in, after a lot of careful debating
Hell bells, not only did I enter in; was told I was about to get anointed
With me at God's side, He said; Indy you tried, I was not disappointed
