Summer Loss

Listen to poem:
Eyes gaze over lines, heart buckles under the pressure. A lonely ride, it's been pronounced, I've lost everything. Tiny violins between their ears, large trumpets in mine. A wake-up call? Which part of me has gone, for I no longer recognize. Change of scenery remains with the mind, some heartbeats out there are worried. Unable to forget, it's a little too late, my path is set. Surrendered summer breeze, red polka dot tablecloth. Years of experience, togetherness, Italian vineyard's intimate verses. Sitting next to tranquil skin, within the shade, their language is lost. Baskets of freshly picked fruits and homemade treats keenly translate sweet fragrance. Closing of focus being swept away by her touch, just smile... I am with you all. Amidst the tranquility, I find relief in her journey across my skin. Childish giggles take me, for I am yours.
